Wine Oh!

Lets face the facts: Josh likes wine. Josh also comes from a long line of 'collectors'....aka 'hoarders'....aka 'Kails'. Put the two together and you're bound to have boxes and bottles all over the darn place in any dark corner you can find. Australia has been no different, especially given the discovery of 'cleanskin' wine that is good and, even better, is cheap. Just in the apartment for 3 months and the little wine collection was starting to take over a large portion of the study nook which was expected to be the model of organisation and efficiency due to the filing boxes and organisers that had been purchased from Ikea to go along with the computer desk. Instead, it looked more like a recycling run waiting to happen with cardboard boxes (some actually nice and colorful) and bottles of wine lying around cluttering up the space behind the desk.
Josh went on a quest to find a quality wine rack that wouldn't break the budget or the bottles. Having started shopping in retail stores we knew the going rate on racks was about $3-4/bottle, which meant that a 24 bottle rack could cost anywhere from $75-100!! Not wanting to spend that much and given the tools of today (the Internet and eBay) a cheaper alternative was discovered - an 18 bottle rack on offer at $5 - much more economical. Of course eBay.com.au is still eBay and so it didn't end at $5, but for $21 it was still a much cheaper alternative for storage than buying new. The new rack did help some but obviously a bit more work is required so if you're selling a wine rack on Aussie eBay, watch out you may be delivering it to Josh and Kristi!

Maybe it is just the picture, but that looks like one very large bottle of wine on the left!

Hope you guys are doing well... I sure do miss you! I was thinking about you a lot at Elephant Rock yesterday.
