Ed and Myra wrapped up their stay Down Under with a
mid-week Great Ocean Road trip and then we all headed down to the Mornington Peninsula to squeeze in a few more water views before they had to head home. Folks were rugged up in the cool weather, but the sun finally came out and warmed things up in the afternoon. After wandering through Sorrento, tasting a lamington, enjoying views from Arthur's Seat and capturing photos of the colorful beach boxes, we headed home for fun night of food, wine, and Sequence! It was a great end to a fun visit and we managed to get through the airport goodbyes with only a *few* tears :)The tears couldn't flow for long though, as brother Tim and sister-in-law Rachel arrived for their holiday only 5 days later!
They checked out the Melbourne CBD as we finished up work on Friday, and then treated us to a home cooked dinner. It's always amazing what those two can do with random ingredients in the fridge! Then we decided to spend the weekend exploring the Great Ocean Road - complete with fish & chips, koalas and kangaroos, sunset and sunrise at the Twelve Apostles, beautiful sunny days, and fabulous road trip conversation. Now that Rachel can almost find koalas in the wild we may be hard pressed to get her back on the plane to Missouri....Our internet is finally back up and running after almost 2 weeks, so we'll be able to post all the excitement from the rest of the week soon. More stories on the way!

Hotel Kail is quite the busy place! Can I reserve some late fall/early winter time (November/Decemberish?)... if you are still there?
I don't know how you guys do so much entertaining and still get all your training and working in! Looks like fun, though!

You can't find Hotel Kail in any of the guidebooks, but the amenities are fantastic and the staff is excellent. They have one of the finest wine selections available in Melbourne and the sommelier always has excellent recommendations for pairings. And just across the street from tram stops and a dangerous (too tasty to resist) French coffee shop. Be forewarned: you will need elastic in your pants. Five stars!
