In the meantime, we've been busy with our "Normal" Aussie life. Plenty of working (God created PowerPoint for some reason, we just hope it wasn't to continually torture Josh), plenty of reading (Bill Bryson is HILARIOUS) and a good bit of traveling around the city to see new sights.
The spring weather has been pretty good of late, so we've spent our afternoons relaxing outdoors reading books in the sunshine. We both read 'Down Under' by Bill Bryson, and now Kristi is on 'Eldest' after finishing 'Eragon', while Josh is enjoying the final Harry Potter. Though we love our movies, there is something even more relaxing about laying in bed reading a couple chapters of a good book before falling asleep - and you definately can't take your movie to the park to enjoy on a sunny day either! (Though here in Australia you can get coffee at most movie theaters which is a nice option for long documentaries)
In a recent update we mentioned the arrival of
Flexicar to Port Melbourne. We're now all signed up, have our card and have taken our nearby car (named Smithers) out to help us get our shopping done on a Saturday afternoon. It worked out wonderfully and it really did make the errands go quicker to have a set of wheels. We're looking forward to making it a regular market run once a month, but who knows there may be other places that we'll want to explore with Smithers!Speaking of explorations, we finally made it to the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) to check out the Guggenheim exhibit as well as the other art on display. We really got a kick out of the 1980's fashion displays and as always found the Monet's and Pissarro's to be beautiful paintings. The Guggenheim was the main attraction and was very interesting, though we did agree that just going to NYC and seeing the whole thing would be better. We still haven't made it over to the Australian Artists exhibits that they show in a separate building, but we wouldn't want to accomplish too much in too short of a time either :-)
Other than that Josh has been flat-out with training and working - doing both this weekend actually. When you are training for an Ironman and your Saturday workout takes less time than your Saturday PowerPoint updates, something is out of whack. Hopefully it will be back just Monday-Friday hours next week so that we can continue our "normal" lives!

That is a good idea about the car! Did you name it or did someone else?
I love the idea of a time-share car! Such a cool way to share costs and resources. Can't wait to see the whole vacation post. Oh, and in the end Voldemort winds up having a sled named Rosebud that was lost that started the whole "Dark Lord" thing. Oh, sorry... had you not gotten that far yet?
