The Australian Open

With much thanks to one of Josh's coworkers who had an extra ticket to the Australian Open that was not going to be used, Kristi spent an afternoon soaking up the sun and watching some great tennis!

Highlights of the day included spending time in the Vodafone Arena watching a close match between Tommy Haas and David Nalbandian, catching mixed and womens doubles on the outdoor courts, and receiving a complementary bag of goodies from Garnier (one of the main sponsors of the Open).

It was great fun seeing the tennis live as well as watching some of the higher profile matches on TV. We followed progress of both Serena Williams (after seeing she had won the Australian Open in 2003 and 2005, Kristi had a strong feeling that 2007 would be a good year for her!) and Rodger Federer (who isn't amazed by the sheer talent of this guy?!?) - it was quite exciting to see it all play out!

What a VERY cool perspective of the mass of courts. It had to be thrilling to be in the moment! And I have to agree: Roger Federer,(R-Fed to his close friends) is pretty doggone amazing.
