After we moved out of the Melbourne apartment we went on a 3-week traveling adventure, the first week of which we spent in the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland. We decided that if there was one more place in Australia that we wanted to visit, it was the Whitsundays - and that turned out to be the perfect decision!
We spent a couple of nights in a B&B at Airley Beach unwinding from the stress of the move (little did we know that was only the beginning!),
and the time relaxing on the beach, reading books, and going to bed early was wonderful! We also fit in a helicopter ride to see the islands and the famous Whitehaven Beach, which was spectacular! Then the real luxury began with a 4-day/3-night sailing trip aboard the Pacific Sunrise. It was the first sailing trip either of us had ever been on and it was amazing! It didn't hurt that the crew waited on us hand and foot, organized all of our activities, and fed us gourmet meals all day long :) We had many opportunities to visit various beaches, snorkel or dive, and Josh was lucky enough to get to experience his first night dive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, which flew by, and neither of us had a problem with being seasick - unfortunately for a few days following our adventure the land seemed to move while we were standing still, crazy!After our Whitsunday adventure we headed back to Melbourne for a night and a quick turnaround, and then we were off to Asia (coming soon...)
