Twenty20
While Josh was away training in the US, Kristi had the opportunity to go to a Twenty20 cricket match between Australia and South Africa with Maria, a good friend from work. Twenty20
cricket derives its name from the basis of this style of the game - that each team is only allowed a single inning of 20 overs. As such, it is a much faster game than the Test Cricket that we went see on Boxing Day. The game only lasted about 3 hours and was much more action-packed. The excitement of the night was that a new player, David Warner, came out with gun's a blazin' and made 89 of the 182 points scored by Australia - it was quite impressive! (Unfortunately, the next game he came out and only scored 7 before he was taken out...apparently too much pressure!) We had a wonderful evening and, since Maria is a serious cricket fanatic, it was great fun to watch and learn a bit more about the game!
